I know that many of you will be licking your wounds and hitching yourself back up on the horse, but let’s not forget that there also lots of you newly ‘Chartered’ and even ‘Fellows’ amongst our peers this week.

Well done to very single one of them. You are an inspiration to all those who aspire to reach the same heights. We all know how much work and commitment is involved to get there.

Chartered status needs to be earned. You know how tough it is and we’ll be riding that horse again come January, but what next for those Chartered folks?

How about an MSc at MMU?

I cannot recommend it high enough; listen to Trevor Williamson:

”Has your recent success given you an appetite for further study to gain a Level 7 qualification and an opportunity to contribute to the development of your profession ?

Why not sign up for the part-time MSc Financial Planning & Business Management degree at MMU?

You will find it quite a challenge –  quite a different type of challenge, but one that is ultimately very rewarding, personally and professionally.

It is also good fun, working with like-minded `thought-leaders’ and sharing your experiences, trials and tribulations along the way.

The next cohort of Chartered Financial Planners gets underway in September 2016. So, you have plenty of time to re-charge your batteries for the next step on your journey.”

Myself personally? I cannot recommend it high enough. It is a hugely rewarding learning journey and thought-provoking experience with like-minded peers who are pushing the boundaries of the profession. If you have a subject you are passionate about, then talk to Trevor and he’ll mentor and guide you in academic study of that specialist area.

Want to know what it might look like? My own effort this year hasn’t been assessed yet, but I’ll let you know how I get on in March 2016; if you have 2-3hrs spare a week, you can do it.

If you’d like to know more, please contact Trevor.

For all those not quite there yet….get that horse saddled up and ready for January!
